Clinical Response Specialist – PRN
Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Hybrid/Remote Options Possible)
Position Type: PRN / As Needed – Minimum 6 full shifts per month
What You’ll Be Doing
Assist patients, families, and providers in navigating admissions. Manage national-level inquiries, complete intake screens, and provide excellent service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries compassionately and promptly.
- Conduct brief intake screens for clinical appropriateness.
- Document and communicate intake findings within EHR.
- Collaborate with treatment teams on admissions decisions.
- Manage calls, faxes, and web inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
- Consult with referral sources regarding follow-up or readmissions.
- Evening/weekend coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 1 year experience in behavioral health.
- Experience with mental health or eating disorders preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Billing & Coding Specialist manages all aspects of insurance billing, coding, and reimbursement for outpatient and IOP services. You’ll ensure accurate CPT/ICD coding, submit clean claims, track authorizations, manage denials, and maintain positive communication with clients and payers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assign accurate CPT/HCPCS and ICD‑10‑CM codes for therapy, family, and group sessions.
- Submit CMS‑1500 claims and manage clearinghouse workflows.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
- Track, resolve, and appeal denials or underpayments.
- Post ERAs/EOBs and reconcile accounts receivable.
- Provide professional, compassionate billing support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with clinicians and administration to ensure compliant documentation.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing/coding experience (behavioral health preferred).
- Proficiency with CPT/HCPCS, ICD‑10‑CM, EDI (837/835), and payer portals.
- Knowledge of telehealth modifiers (95/GT) and Place of Service codes.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and compassionate communicator.
- AAPC or AHIMA certification (CPC, CPB, CCS) preferred.

Mental Health Therapist Intern – Eating Disorder Specialty
Location: Sioux Falls, SD (Hybrid: in-person + telehealth)
Position Type: Academic Internship / Practicum (Graduate-level)
Hours: Typically 12–20 hours/week; some afternoon/evening availability preferred
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Mental Health Therapist Intern, you’ll gain supervised, hands-on experience in eating disorder treatment within an outpatient setting, with opportunities to support the development of our IOP programming. You will provide client-facing support under supervision, build core therapy skills, and collaborate closely with therapists and dietitians.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide supervised psychotherapy: co-facilitate or lead (as appropriate) individual, family, and group sessions.
- Conduct supervised intake screens, biopsychosocial assessments, risk/safety screenings, and treatment planning.
- Participate in case conceptualization, interdisciplinary rounds, and consultation with dietitians and external providers.
- Support meal/snack exposures and skills coaching during groups (when IOP launches).
- Complete clinical documentation in the EHR (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries) per policy and supervisor feedback.
- Practice evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, FBT principles, and person-centered approaches.
- Uphold HIPAA/privacy, safety, and ethical standards; maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed care.
- Engage in weekly supervision and didactic training; incorporate feedback and track supervised hours toward program requirements.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related).
- Approved by university for practicum/internship and able to execute a site agreement/affiliation contract.
- Foundational counseling skills; comfort with evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong written documentation skills and professional communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy; interest in eating disorder treatment required (experience preferred).
- HIPAA and confidentiality training (clinic will provide site-specific onboarding).
- Background check and proof of immunizations may be required per policy.
Compensation & Schedule
• Internship aligns with academic semester timelines; typical commitment is 12–20 hours/week with some late-afternoon/evening availability.
• This is an academic training placement; compensation is determined by academic program requirements and clinic policy and will be discussed during the interview.
• Weekly individual and/or group supervision provided by a licensed clinician; additional didactics and case consultation included.

Oversee credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging to ensure compliance and support Victus Counseling’s expanding programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Verify provider credentials including education, licensure, and certification.
- Manage applications via Clinic Software.
- Maintain provider databases and compliance tracking.
- Communicate with payors and delegated organizations.
- Assist providers with licensing and renewals.
- Ensure adherence to credentialing standards and audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum 3 years credentialing experience in healthcare.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- CPCS certification experience a plus.
